Do the Hills have eyes? Follow up to this post.
Today I spoke with the troopers who initially went out to the area that my brother and I had found the suspicious duct tape and clothing items. The officer informed me that they had discovered a name tag with initials on one of the items of clothing. He went on to tell me that the initials came up in a national data bass of missing children but that the age of the child was considerably younger than the size of the articles of clothing. However, they felt that it still warranted going out to the area again with a cadaver dog. So they did. They searched the area significantly but could not uncover any further evidence so he informed me that the investigation would stop until further notice unless anything else came up. He said that they would be paying attention to the area during patrols in the future and thanked me for letting them know what we had found. He also said that although its likely the articles are just discarded hikers items, that he would have thought it suspicious and reported it also.
The only downside, while out there in the woods the dog smelled up a marijuana farm.
